| The sea depth beneath the proposed Second-Phase airport construction site
is deeper than that for the First-phase airport construction, with thick,
soft clay below the seabed. Subsidence as a result of reclamation work is
expected to be greater than that encountered in the First-phase construction
work. And it is necessary to perform large-scale construction work under
these severe conditions within a limited time frame. In developing the land for the airport, we aim at speedier, less expensive, and better land development compatible with the surrounding environment and the requirements for an airport site. |
