| The visitors enjoyed themselves on the 2nd-phase island,
walking on the planned 4,000 m-long new landing strip, touching 46-ton
dump trucks and 36-ton bulldozers, which can hardly be seen on the street,
in the visitors’ area at the center of the island, observing the vast
new airport island and construction work from the observation platform,
and viewing Awaji Island and Akashi Strait Big Bridge.
Under the bright skies on Sunday and Saturday during the spring vacation,
4,300 people joined the event.
