Environment al principle
The Kansai International Airport Land Development Co.,Ltd.together with the Kansai International Airport Co.,Ltd.aim to apply an environment management system on the basis of the following activity policies in order to minimize the influence of the construction of the artificial island onto Osaka Bay and its surroundings and to create a harmonious environment.

Policy for environment activities
1.
 Efforts shall be made to minimize the influence of the work onto the surrounding environment.
2.
 Efforts shall be made for efficient use of resources and for suppression of the generation of construction waste.
3.
 Efforts shall be made to create a favorable marine environment and to implement investigations and research.
4.
 Efforts shall be made to save energy and resources with the management work.
5.
 Efforts shall be made to raise consciousness in regard to environment considerations.
6.
 Efforts shall be made to promote good communication with the local society.

Certificate of environmental ISO (14001)
ISO 14001In order to minimize the influence of the construction work for the second phase airport island onto the environment and for positive achievement of the targets for environment conservation, the Kansai International Airport Land Development Co.,Ltd. (KALD) was accredited with ISO 14001 (the international standard for environment management systems) concerning the 'Enterprise activities in regard to the work for construction the second Kansai airport island'on December 20, 1999.
The accreditation was renewed on November 22, 2005, and efforts will continue to apply the environment management system and to continue improvement in order to prevent environment pollution and to create an environment in harmony with the global environment.
