Company-internal system In order to debate various plans and themes in regard to environment management, the Kansai International Airport Co., Ltd. established the 'Environment Management Committee' on January 31, 2001. The president of the company was named the committee chairman, the vice president was named the vice chairman, and the basic policy in regard to environment management, mapping out and revision of various plans, etc. are debated by this committee. Also, 'environment management agents' were placed at various locations in the company, in the center, and in the construction offices in order to guide and monitor the progress of the various plans. This committee makes efforts to make continuous improvements by adding suitable evaluation to the degree of realization of the yearly targets, the methods, etc. for the realization of the various measures of the Eco Island Promotion Plan and by revising it as required.   System on the island The Kansai International Airport Co., Ltd., the airlines, etc. operate various offices on the Kansai International Airport to support the airport functions. In regard to promotion of the efforts for environment protection, it is considered necessary that all related persons have a common understanding and to establish a constant place for the exchange of opinions in regard to the setting of new targets, efforts, etc. For this reason, a home page for all enterprises active on the island was established for their free exchange of opinions, and this is used to show the outline of the environment plan, the implementation status of various measures, and other information in regard to the environment, and this homepage also aims to establish a network for cooperative efforts on the island.
