Symposium on Geotechnical Aspects
of Kansai International Airport

This Symposium was held as a post conference symposium
of 16ICSMGE (www.icsmge2005.org/).

The symposium was organized by Kansai International Airport Land Development Co., Ltd.(KALD), which has been undertaking the second phase land development project of Kansai International Airport, and co-sponsored by the Japanese Geotechnical Society (JGS).
The principal aim of the symposium was to foster international discussions related to the land reclamation on the clay deposits by introducing geotechnical issues and predicted settlement related to the second phase construction of Kansai International Airport(KIA).

Date and Venue

The Symposium was held on September 16(Friday) and 17(Saturday) at the Hotel Nikko Kansai located in the airport island.
